After some brutal testing on the dyno and at the drag strip MWR has developed this torque converter to improve the performance of the automatic transmissions bolted to all of Toyota's 98+ 1.8L engines. Stall speed is increased by 300-500RPM (depending on your engine's output), higher if you've got a turbo or supercharger that is spooling in that range. We've put nearly 800hp to it and run almost 140mph in the 1/4 mile with this converter, it'll hold up to even the worst abuse. The converter is optimized for street applications and GT2871R or smaller turbo.
