MWR Customer: Lotus Dakar

Presenting Team Lotus Dakar:
Monkeywrench Racing Featured Customer
The Team Lotus Dakar #22 car is driven by Paul Libens and Jean-André Collard
As the name would indicate, Team Lotus Dakar competes in Senegal, Dakar in severe endurance conditions.
We were contacted by Serge Libens early in 2010 with a problem he was having racing in these conditions. The engines in thier Lotus 2-Eleven cars were not holding up through a whole race.
We provided a pair of our “Racer Express” engines for him, including our MWR/Moroso Oil pan.
This is a critical part for our race as well as our street customers, the added capacity and most importantly the control provided by the special baffling provides for adequate oil supply to the sump during very severe racing conditions.
In the first Endurance Race, Car 22 went from DNF to fourth place
following a Porsche 964 RSR, a 996 Cup and a Ford Mustang
The Circuit de Dakar – Baobab is …
