Order Policy

  • We may require address or other verification for new customers prior to shipping. Security against fraud protects our customers and allows us to keep prices as low as possible.
  • If we need to communicate with you about your order it will be via Email. Please monitor the email address you provide to us for order updates. Some email systems may file messages in the Junk Mail folder so be sure to check there.
  • An order is not completed and cannot ship until full payment is made and cleared. Please allow up to ten days for Paypal payments drawn from a bank account, wire transfers, money orders and personal checks to clear.
  • The quickest and easiest way to order from Monkeywrench Racing is through this website. We understand that this may be difficult or impractical in some cases so we are also happy to take your order by telephone. Orders placed through the website are processed automatically so they ship quickest, often the same day if placed by 3pm EST.
  • Changes to Orders: We cannot change orders after they have been placed, so please double check your cart before checking out. Note: We can sometimes CANCEL the order, so you can place s different corrected order, but we need to receive the cancellation as early as possible, and we still may not be able to cancel an order after it is placed.
  • Orders placed by PayPal are subject to 5% cancellation fee. PayPal charges us high processing fees, and they do not refund these fees to us.
  • No cancellations are permitted custom-order items.  A 50% non-refundable deposit may be required for some custom made items.
  • Sale Prices are ONLY available through the website.

NOTE Delivery time in transits listed are BUSINESS DAYS. Weekends and holidays do not count toward time in transit.

USPS:  We offer USPS shipping to select domestic and international locations in order to provide a reduced-cost shipping method.  USPS typically receives shipments the NEXT BUSINNESS DAY from the day your order is processed.  USPS, including Express mail sometimes have unexpected delays. We do our best to estimate time in transit, but it’s only an estimate and USPS sometimes does not meet expectations. Please keep this in mind when selecting a shipping service.

Domestic Services:
Delivery time for Ground is one to five business days (estimated, not guaranteed) depending on distance from Detroit, MI. Expedited services are as indicated by service type

International Services:
UPS (Most reliable with the greatest traceability):
Worldwide Expedited 2-5 Business Days Delivery by end of day
Worldwide Saver 1-3 Business Days Delivery by end of day
Worldwide Express 1-3 Business Days Delivery by 10:30 a.m. or 12:00 noon

Note: Beginning in July 2021, New EU IOSS regulations were implemented that require us to ship orders €150 or less, including shipping (EU) to business addresses only. EU orders shipping to private parties must be more than €150. If you are a private party that needs items that total less than €150, if you can find a business that will receive your shipment, we will ship to them. The business does not need to be automotive-related.

We have discovered that shipping via Postal service does not hold up these less than €150  shipments, so we may substitute USPS shipping at our discretion.

MWR Economy Shipping (Domestic) Approximately five days in transit, possibly longer. No guarantees for service levels.

Shipping Policy

  • We ship all orders directly either via UPS, or another carrier. Customer provided shipping methods are not allowed. Sorry, no Exceptions.
  • UPS cannot deliver to a PO Box.  If the address provided is a PO box, the order will ship by the closest equivalent USPS method.
  • To avoid a $125 lift gate charge, Complete engines must ship to a location with a dock or forklift, or be prepared to lift a palletized engine from a delivery truck.
  • All customs invoices must match commercial invoices on international orders. We do not provide customized invoice for the purposed of avoiding customs duties. We can not provide Customs or other documentation for third party shippers, other than our standard commercial invoice. We cannot provide free trade  certificates of origin. We can not under declare or declare as samples, gifts, etc… Any requests for the above will be ignored.
  • Any customs duties, tariffs and brokerage fees are the responsibility of the customer.  Please know your country’s customs and tariff rules before ordering.
    Customer will be invoiced for any duties and taxes charged back to MWR.
  • Engines shipped to overseas customers will ship by MWR provided shipping and deliver to the nearest airport.
  • Orders for in-stock merchandise placed via the website before 3:00pm Monday – Friday Eastern time are shipped the same day the order is placed, orders placed later than this may ship on the next business day.
  • Some items, especially Engines, transmissions and other complex components and kits may take a day or two of lead time to pack and prepare for shipment. If you have a deadline, please let us know in the order notes when it is placed and we will follow up if there is an extended delay.
  • Orders placed via the website take higher priority and will be fulfilled before Email or Telephone orders.
  • If part or all of an order is out of stock the customer will be notified via Email and the order will ship complete when all items are ready.
  • Special Shipping instructions will only be accepted if they do not add to cost of the shipment, otherwise they will be ignored.
  • We cannot require signature for delivery
  • Tracking numbers will be updated to the user’s website account when the order ships. Sorry, we cannot give tracking information over the phone.
  • MWR cannot provide a shipping level guarantee beyond that of the carrier. For instance, UPS does not guarantee service levels between the Holidays (US Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day) Please check with the carrier to determine their specific service guarantee if there is a question.
  • Orders returned to us due to an undeliverable address provided by customer, will result in a refund to the customer for the returned product less the return shipping charge, which may be significantly more than the original shipping charge for order.
  • We can ship to a third party location (hotel, freight forwarder, friend) but if the liability for missing package is the customer’s responsibility. In these cases, if the carrier’s tracking shows that the package was delivered but the customer reports the package is missing the normal insurance or shipping guarantee does NOT apply.   NO REPLACEMENT OR REFUND IS POSSIBLE.
  • Shipping damage or loss must be reported to us and declared within SEVEN (7) Days, also, all packaging must be retained for inspection by carrier.  We will need pictures of the damaged items, and the packaging so that we can file a claim with the carrier. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A CLAIM TO THE SHIPPER YOURSELF. IF YOU DO, WE MAY NOT BE NOTIFIED AND WE WILL CERTAINLY LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR CLAIM. FILING YOUR OWN CLAIM WITH THE SHIPPER DIRECTLY MAY LIMIT OUR ABILITY TO HELP YOU WITH A REPLACEMENT/REFUND.
