Exedy Stage 1 stock replacement clutch with organic (street-style) disc

This is a direct OEM-quality replacement for your stock clutch. It is identical in torque capacity to the clutch that comes with 2ZZ-powered vehicles. It is about 10% stronger than the stock 1ZZ clutch which is not really noticeable but does mean longer life.

Works great with MR2-S SMT, functions just like OEM clutch. As with any clutch replacement, be sure to perform the relearn process after install.

Includes pressure plate, disc, release bearing and alignment tool.

    Love this clutch, just at 1,000 miles now. Engagement is awesome, feels better than most other stock clutches ive used. Alignment tool was a little odd to use, but wasn’t really a problem.

    Also, I put it on an engine that came off of an automatic car, and this kit doesn’t come with pressure plate bolts. So pick them up from toyota if you don’t have them.

    Great inexpensive product. Car pulls great! The only downside is the clutch pedal is much too soft. Its actually softer than the OEM clutch. It did take some time to get used to it. But now I love it.

    At first did not like it, as the engagement was quite the opposite of the factory right off the floor. Felt more like a Ford clutch that lets off at the top. After 2 weeks of break-in (and some chatter) and learning how to feel it, this grabs so aggressively when you want it to. Amazing power transfer. Once you get used to the travel you will be a convert. It is actually softer push/slam feel than the factory it replaced, but the car pulls way harder now. I know the reviews all start like mine… But this has made my 2ZZ swap Celica soooo much more fun to drive now. Love it, my 15 y/o son (who is learning stick on this said wow, that’s a hell of alot more car now) likes the improvement.

    I want to give this a great review, but I can’t. The throw out bearing is already whirring after 50 miles of driving. I properly greased all pivot points and my clutch play is in spec. I do not abuse my clutch. (This kit replaced the original kit that lasted 181,000 miles) I now have to remove the transmission and replace the bearing before it decides to seize and ruin my pressure plate. I highly recommend getting an OEM throwout bearing if anyone decides to buy this kit.

    The clutch itself feels great, but I am not happy.
