Recommended by MWR for stock to performance street applications. Synchromesh offers excellent shifting performance and great friction protection. If you live in a colder climate you’ll find this oil allows better winter shifting than heavier oils like the MT-90 or Motul.
Synchromesh Fluid is a GL4 oil, ideal for synchro performance and durability. It is formulated with high quality paraffinic base stocks, a fluidity modifier, multifunctional performance additives, corrosion inhibitors, a foam suppressor and a shear stable viscosity index improver additive. It provides excellent oxidation stability, low temperature performance, excellent synchronizer performance and compatibility with yellow metals, such as bronze, brass and copper components found in manual transaxles and transmissions.
It is not rated for viscosity the same as older gear lubes but would test a bit thinner than a 75W90 which is why it has such great performance when cold and why it helps the synchros work so well.
One 1.0L bottle. You will need three bottles for a Lotus/Toyota C-series 5- or 6-speed transmission or Evora (most common) and 4 bottles for an E153 transmission.
