Excellent condition very rare used OEM Toyota oil cooler kit. All parts fully inspected and cleaned, ready to install
Includes:
- Oil cooler core with new o-ring (#15710 in diagram)
- Oil cooler mounting bolt (hollow) (#15690 in diagram)
- Mounting bolt to engine block adapter (#90402-28004 in diagram)
Hoses are often included but NOT guaranteed so if they have defects you may need to replace with bulk hose. Can be plumbed as they were from the factory on the 2ZZ (uses the capped tube fitting that exits the front of the engine block and the capped tube fitting on the metal water pipe in that same area under intake manifold –Lotus and Celica only–Corolla/Matrix metal pipe does not have this fitting so you can SWAP IN THE CELICA PIPE). Alternately, it can also be plumbed in series with the heater core for Corolla/Matrix/Vibe 2ZZ and all 1ZZ applications (must adapt hose size, heater hoses are 3/4″).
No other parts needed for installation.
These coolers came from the factory on some hot-climate Toyota 2ZZ models. It is an oil-water cooler so it does not require a front mounted heat exchanger and is extremely compact. Less weight and complication than a front mounted oil cooler system and requires no airflow.
Can be installed on Lotus models, allowing removal of the problematic and heavy/bulky Lotus oil cooler system. Much less oil pressure drop through this cooler. It is a compact cooler so in high power / high ambient temperature conditions it has less maximum cooling capacity than the OE front mount oil coolers. Generally works fine at or near stock power levels on street or track depending on usage; we do not guarantee level of cooling performance because so many variables are involved. Great addition to modified street vehicles with high output engines, superchargers and turbos etc.
Uses same oil filter as 1ZZ/2ZZ without oil cooler.
These used to retail for $900+ but are now discontinued. Nearly impossible to find!
